Optimizing Human Performance

Most of the time when an individual, team or function is thought to be 'underperforming', the specific underperformance is not well pinpointed, and we use vague and emotive terms like ‘lazy’ or ‘unmotivated’ to define cause.

When the performer is a team, function or division, we are similarly imprecise about the performance deviation, and tend to jump straight to ‘the manager/leader is bad’.

Humans tend to like this kind of thinking because it is easy, it takes virtually no work, and it enables us to make a single change (providing feedback to one person, firing one person, hiring one new person) in the hope that a single change introduced into the system will fix everything.

Objectivity Consulting takes a more comprehensive and holistic view of optimizing human performance.  We assess systemic, environmental, and the internalized human factors which go into influencing organizational behaviors.

We also help individuals and teams refine their critical thinking skills as applied to the work they do, and help accelerate performance by giving groups of people a common language to use for issue prioritization, decision making, problem solving and risk management.
